'Things do not happen. Things are made to happen.' (John F Kennedy) Austris experienced this first hand, as we spent the evening with local Ukranians sorting donations and packaging boxes being shipped to Ukraine. He jumped right in and absolutely loved every minute of it. The main organizer told him he'll be a great CEO some day. Austris was happy to learn to write some Ukranian words to label the boxes and made fast friends with a little three year old from Kyiv who arrived just a few days ago by turning a box into a 'car' for him. I am relieved and grateful to finally be transforming my swirl of emotions around current events into practical action. I'm also grateful all over again for the deep wisdom in Maya Angelou's words 'you will always belong every place and no place at all'. We were the only 'outsiders' in the group but neither Austris nor I felt for a single moment that there was any place we belonged more or would rather be. #lettingjoyin
